The alternatives to the present fossil based energy system are to be found among the renewable energy sources, all of them origin from the flow of sun energy to the Earth. Absolicon offers a solution that harvests the sun energy and transforms it into different useful forms of energy. Using a both innovative and material efficient construction, the coefficient of performance for heat as well as electricity production is optimized for a number of applications.

Cleantech Inn Sweden, 07 March 2011Heat and electricity from the sun
Absolicon Solar Concentrator - heat and electricity from the sun. With a novel solar concentrator, Absolicon produces both hot water and electricity simultaneously.
Each solar cell in the concentrator produces 10 times more electricity compared to a normal solar cell.
The concentrator can also be used to produce steam for industrial use or solar cooling. On the local county health center the concentrators produce heat, electricity and cooling from the sun – the first installation of its kind in the world. Covering their rooftops with concentrators, industry can get process heat, hotels can get solar cooling and apartment buildings can get hot water and electricity.
The Absolicon X10 is the best solar energy system in the world for large buildings and solar concentrators in general are an important part of the solution to the energy problem.
